Calling anyone that has removed a tranny from a teg.

Calling anyone that has removed a tranny from a teg.
I am currently in the process of doing a lot of work on my teg. The main thing right now is putting a new clutch in. I have the service manual and a Haynes manual, but I still have a problem. I cannot get the left (driver side) axel and intermediate shaft out of the tranny. I got the one on the right out with no problem, but the left one is so stubborn. I have tried everything the manual says, but no luck.
Has anyone had this problem? How did you get it out? Any hints or tricks? Thanks in advance.

The axle is locked with a clip, the intermediate shaft just slides out (after your remove the bolts). Pry bar works wonders: tap it in with a hammer, turn the axle 90 degrees, tap some more and keep working your way around until it comes out.

I agree with pupascoopa, just remove the three bolts attaching the intermediate shaft and use a pry-bar, or you could remove the axle/intermediate shaft from the hub and drop the whole thing out all at once and remove it then.
