Caliper help
alright, so i need a oem replacement caliper for my gs-r (rear passenger), so i went to autozone.
i purchased two refurbished ones, and BOTH caused my e-brake to lock up, and not release when i released it.
and no, the cables were good, they were not stiff at all, the spring on the caliper was not clicking over to return my wire back to a relaxed position.
1.) i am posting this so no one goes to auto zone to purchase a caliper ever again
2.) i wanna know where i can get one for a fair price, and also how much would a upgrade in a nice caliper set for all 4 wheels cost me?

I have an Autozone reman rear driver's side caliper and it has been fine for over 60K miles.
IMHO:
Stock brakes don't need better rotors, but better pads.
The use of slotted and drilled rotors are a much debated topic on these forums. Many racers use cheap stock sized Autozone rotors (I just bought one, $20 for front driver's) but run upgraded pads and brake fluid. They maintain the only better rotor than stock is one with a larger diameter mated to a larger caliper -- and blank, not slotted or drilled.

I guess i just got bad luck...im heading over to a different automotive store today to see if i can find one there that works.
btw, i would never, ever recommend getting a caliper from a junk yard... but thats just imo
