A/C question
My A/C suddenly stopped blowing cold, i'm not too familiar with A/C systems so i dont know what to check. All the belts are still on, but i noticed that when i turn it on the fan that is attached to the radiator doesnt turn on, its supporsed to turn on right? Any suggestions what to check? thanks
My first guess would be if your refrigerant is low (leaked out) then the low-pressure interlock won't let you run it. If you don't have the gauges, then take it to an A/C place to check it out.
time to recharge (have them look for any leaks also)
the fans come on when the engine heats higher than normal. example while sitting in traffic/stoplight with little air flow

i take it this is for your 95 gsr, if so then the system is r-a34a and you can buy a recharge kit from checkers or autozone for like $25. it comes with refrigerant, oil, and guages. you will be using the low preassure side of the a/c system which is the zozzle right between the raidator and the valve cover, it should have a blue cap that is screwed on.

Recharge, but look for leaks too. The reason it stops suddenly, is that when the pressure gets low, the low-pressure interlock switch just shuts it down. If you bypass that interlock, then it just gradually gets less effective. But that way you destroy your compressor.
