Default A/C problems..

i have a 98 integra and long time ago the r134a got low and the a/c wasnt blowing cold anymore. so i put some more in it but put too much in it. it didnt work obviously but said the hell with it. then sometime later i decided to take it to the dealership to have it all evacuated out of the system so i could start over. put some more in it and made sure i didnt overfill it. the a/c still doesnt blow cold.

the whole a/c system seems to be okay to me. the drier has never been changed so i got a brand new one and some more r134a. im hoping the new drier will fix it maybe its just full of oil. now can i just replace the drier and let all the 134a out and fill her back up? will the oil still be in there or will i need to add some? do you think this will make my a/c finally blow cold again? thanks!!

Similar thing happened to me too on my 94 teg. I fill it up like twice and no go on it. I brought it to a guy I knew at midas and he evacuated the whole system and put back the refriegents, everything worked fine after that.

People say that if the system have moisture in it, the system won't get cold at all. Not sure if this is the problem in your case. And ya, check out that compresser to see if it's busted also.

Yo Mike, its Eric/snowboardgeek1 from PBP.

Are there any leaks in the system? If so, I'd look for that first. If after a recharge, and you're still not blowing cold air, its probably the drier that's bad.

After you figure out what the problem is, I'd recommend getting your refrigerant from http://www.autorefrigerants.com. I used their refrigerant on my 90 integra RS, and it worked great. Blows much colder than regular R134.
