I went a looked at a 1996 Integra Ls or Gs a couple of days ago. (im not sure witch it is it has leather so i think it is a gs) It has 123000 on it and its a 5spd is there anything I should be worried about? With that kind of mileage what is usally going bad or bad on them? Also what kind of gas and gas mileage do they get?

1) It might be the LS...
2) 123,000 is pretty good mileage, my 95 LS came with 116k and I had no problems, I would just check some suspension components...
3) Use 87 and gas mileage depends on how you drive it, will you use it for city or highway driving???

To me that is some pretty good mileage because every car I've had has had more than 170k miles on it so thats pretty low to me. I got a gsr with 192k miles and it runs strong so I don't think you have anything to worry about

Highway deff! I have to travel to Gardner Webb Universty from Concord Nc every other weekend. My Prelude was killing me on gas and oil lol.

its prolly an ls. also it wont hurt to run 87 but u should at least consider runnin 89 some of the time. good luck on ur purchace!

what is best gas for a gsr sedan b18 vtec. nope dude i think u should buy it i just bought mine a month ago with 124,XXX miles on it, its my first car and on only 17 and i have license. i think its best car my dad has a mazda miata and its very slow compared to my 4 door. his is a convertible 2 door and mine is a sedan. its funny how mine is faster

See if the owner has any maintenance records. Usually a timing belt/ water pump etc is done around 90K. If it hasn't been done yet then you probably have some regular maintenance to do. Ask lots of questions about oil changes etc. When looking for a Camaro for my Gf the owner(College Chick) didnt know what an oil change was and told me "The transmission thingy was recently changed."

Good answers guys I will deff ask about the mantince I figured the timing belt and water pump should deff be done by now on the car though. Also to answer jhammond-82 the car is my prelude and 1500 cash out the door. My lude has 164000 needs a raidator and burns oil real bad on the highway so i think im coming out in good shape

Thats fair miles. I recently picked a 94 Integra LS for $2700 with new timing belt / fuel pump... RUns smoothe and is a perfect DD. Yours sounds good to me. DOes it look good and drive good for you?

On the gas note:

Let say you fill up 15 gallons a week at 3 bucks a gallon for 87.
15*$3.00= $45

A year of 87
52*$45= $2340

Now 91 is typically 20 cents more than 87
15*$3.20= $48

A year of 91
52*48= $2496

Savings using 87 to 91
$156

Go for it, those miles arent bad at all. Our old civic had 220K on it, and ran literally like a new car. My wife owned it and did just basic maintenance. Like everyone has mentioned, do a complete tune up if it hasnt been done, possibly check under the car for torn CV boots, brake line condition etc... Other than the usuall age/ mileage wear items, they arent prone to anything problematic. Buy it, maintain it, drive the hell out of it! Good luck

Well the deal is done I am the proud owner of a 1996 Acura Integra Ls (special edtion)! I have one quick question though is there any other way to inspect the timming belt without removing the valve cover. I dont want to mess up the gasket and everything the car is in great condtion and has no leaks so I dont want to create one lol. Also at a 122957 wouldnt the timming belt have been replaced already by the previous owner they say to replace at 90k or 60k. The dealer I bought it from said he had no matainece records saying it had be done.

I would replace the timing belt if there is no proof that it has been done. and I do not believe there is any way to inspect the timing belt without removing the valve cover. You could try taking off some of the plastic shielding on the side of the engine, but that is a pain since you will have to take off the main engine mount.
