I was tightening the studs on my valve cover and I snapped one of the bolts off. Now, oil will be able to come out of the valve cover. It is on an ls, and I broke the bolt near the spark plug wires in the middle of the valve cover. What do I need to do? Is this a serious problem?

 

Exract it with a stud remover.

 

you snapped off the nut and top of the stud or the whole stud itself? if whole stud then you need an extractor, if only the top, you take off the valve cover and with a deep socket you can remove the stud and put a new one in. If you want one, i have a few old ones from my car, that are still good, just hit me up since i'm in sd also. you can have them for free.
