I'm working on a ls 94 integra 4door standard. The break light switch went out and I need to know if the switch is universal with civic before I go to pull a part. The part is 89.00 bucks at Acura and I refuse to paid that. It's a family car. Just trying to help them out. By the way the car has cruise. Thanks.

 

A switch from any 5th gen civic ('92-'95) is the same part. List price for that switch is $62. $53 w/s&h from the online dealers. Your local dealer is pretty expensive with a 50% mark up.

Check your local auto parts stores for "aftermarket" brake switch.

Pick a part might be a cheap quick fix, but you may end up purchasing a part that doesn't work. Id suggest going to a dismantler/junk yard where you can get a warranty/guarantee so you can get it for cheap and have some peace of mind.
