Icon6 Breaking Down- Integra

00 Integra GSR B18C1
128k Miles
No CEL

Starting a couple weeks ago.. my car will start up and drive no problem, out of no where the engine will just die (doesnt matter if im stopped or moving) 20 seconds of sitting there and it will start back up and drive fine. (This would happen usually about once in my point A to point B commute) Now.. as of this moring on my way to work (3.5 miles away) i got to the top of my road and engine dies, this time it did not want to start after 20 seconds, the car was turning over fine and after trying in intervals for about 7 minutes it started. I still took my gamble to try to get to work in it and it happened 3 more times with not wanting to start back up. Luckily I was able to get it back home though. When the engine dies the battery and other lights come right up on the cluster. As of today this problem has gotten worse and i do not feel comfortble driving it anywhere.

What are ya'll thoughts?

My first guess would be something in the distributor. Start by testing the ICM and coil.

Sounds like your dizzy. Have someone check out ur dizzy like the above suggestion. Dizzys are common to go out on our hoondas

Reason why it starts up after xx time is because the dizzy cooled down thus having contact again. When it's too hot it loses connection

I had a similar issue it was neither the ICM or coil, Best to check both those sensors to confirm, i believe theres another magnetic sensor in the distributor that fails. I too ordered a rich porter distributor and it works great.
