Brake question
I changed my brakes today front and rear pad n rotors with a stoptech kit from rock auto. Upon my test drive my pedal was fine as i lightly pressed it but then it almost seems like I lost my power assist when i pressed harder. There was a perfectly good pedal feel, and the car stopped straight as an arrow with no pulling, then it transitioned to rock hard. the pedal didnt sink or anything. I know i did the job correctly. i also know i didnt wipe out my master cyl, because the system was not bled, and when i seated my pads i used very short strokes on the pedal. (ive murdered plenty of master cyl seals that way) But now i'm hearing a hissing when i step on the brakes in the driveway while sitting still, and if i step harder, the idle jumps up till i take my foot off the pedal. my only guess is that the booster failed just to spite me.
any insight as to how i can test the booster, or hook up a vacuum gauge to see if its spiking?

I did a second search. I think this nailed it.
And that FSM test procedure is awesome.
First thing tomm I'll be doing these tests.
