brake light problem!
hey guys. fairly new here. and was wondering if you could help. every morning when i leave for work, my brake light is on, even with the hand brake down. once i press on the brakes, it'll turn off, but as soon as i start moving at all, it'll turn back on. everytime i press the brakes it'll turn off, and yada yada. anyways i've recently changed all pads, bled and changed brake fluid. and it still does not fix the problem. can anyone help?? TIA
i have checked the bulbs already too. and i forgot to mention it only happens cold start. once the car warms up then it's perfectly normal. could it be something is wrong with my float inside the master cylinder?
haha well now that i just thought about it, low fluid makes the light come on right? so if the float is messed up then that would explain why the light comes on when i gas it?? cause it thinks it's low on fluid?? lol i have no idea, just a guess on my part. if anyone knows let me konw please so i don't end up replacing stuff i don't need

when is the last time you checked the fluid that could be it. and every time i start my car at night and i turn the lights on it takes like 2 min for the taillights to come on
i check my fluids weekly and it's never low on brake fluid. last night i unplugged the 2 wires on the brake master cap, and this morning. no light. lol it still comes on like it should when i have the e-brake up though. so the problem should be in that general area right?
you have the well-documented emergency brake light problem.
the original brake fluid resevoir assembly wasn't designed very well on integras.
acura has since redesigned the internal filter and reservoir float, which cures the problem. the reason the light comes on in the mornings is because of temperature variation in the early morning.
go to your nearest acura dealer and order the resevoir filter (a small plastic cage) and the float (a tiny foam rubber item). Total cost should be about $10 and install it yourself.
it takes five minutes. I outta know. I had the same problem.
and NEVER use anything but acura OEM brake fluid to refill your brake fluid...
