Default Blow off valve question

This is a NEWBIE question.... Is it possible to put a BOV on a non turbo vtec? I told my friend it can't be done because I don't think it can.

Back to your question, can you put one on? Yes you can. Will it function as it is suppose to? No. Sorry, but it just wont work.

Okay, with all the flaming, nobody really answered his question. Yes, you can put a blow off valve on a non-turbo car, but it won't do anything. You aren't building positive pressure on the intake side, so you don't need to relieve any excess pressure. It would just be an expensive shiny piece of metal stuck on your intake pipe.

well actually you'd need both the turbonator and the ebay whistler. the whister for the sound and the turbonator for MAYBE .0000000003psi of compressed air....might sound more like a queef than a BOV, but hey, whatever floats your boat i guess. :-P
