Has anyone ever used Bosch dis. rotor and cap before? I found them both at a really good price and i wanna know how they are. Notice any difference for factory parts?

 

I've used Bosch's cap & rotor a couple times and didn't notice any difference. The cost is about 1/2 that of the OEM parts. However one time, the day after putting on a Bosch cap& rotor, my igintion coil went out. I can't say for certain that the Bosch parts caused my coil to go out. Since then, I've just stuck with OEM cap & rotors.

 

Yeah i wonder if it was from that. Anyone else have any experience with them?

 

My friend installed the cap on his car the other day and it works fine for him.

Although today I just ordered a OEM cap + rotor kit.

Yes, I have used Bosch stuff. It is decent although the quality is average. It used to be that the quality was high. I doubt that using a Bosch and cap and rotor would damage a coil. I used to work for Bosch. The stuff made in Germany is very good, but the stuff made in the US or other country is average or below average. Last time I checked, Bosch was the no. 3 autoparts manufacturer in the world. Anyway, I would be comfortable with with the cap and rotor from Bosch.
