Default boostin!!!

My question is for all of you who have boosted tegs...i have a 96 GSR and i have a stage 2 rev hard kit on it...i just got a apexi boost controller...currently running five pounds...all internals are stock...how much boost can i run...just want to know what you guys run...i have to keep it safe it is my everyday car

10lbs would be pretty safe to run, since u r driving it everyday.

im runnin stock ls motor wit 12psi all day everyday..about a year now.

LS is a whole completely different. He has alot higher compression

Keep it 6psi and intercooled and you can't go wrong

Around there and you should be ok... it just totally depends on your setup, mainly your fuel management.

Agreed, however, even with no tune whatsoever you shouldnt go over a certain point if you want to be assuredly safe. That point is 6psi.

It really depends on the tuning. I've seen a car tuned improperly, FC (Mazda RX7) "blow the motor". The guy was pissed, especially because it happened at the hands of a reputed FC and FD tuner.

You need to get it tuned; then ask the tuner how much boost is safe. Truthfully, anything from 6-15 (yes 15) psi CAN be safe depending on the turbo and tuning.
