Default Block Drain Plug?

I will be replacing the radiator in my car soon. I have heard there is a drain plug in the block that needs to be removedin order to drain the remaining coolant out of the block. Where exactly is this plug? Does anyone have pics? Is it really necessary?

no dont mess with block at all. just r&r rad. and bleed the coolant from the small bleeder on the water outlet that goes from the head to the rad(top rad hose.) use the acura or honda type 2 coolant its premixed and it holds to form real well. its only $13.00, you may need 2 to flush all the old coolant out. goodluck

Thanks for the reply. Where exactly is the bleeder screw? I looked all over and didn't see it. This is on a b-series. Maybe I just overlooked it.

I don't know I drained my block yesterday to remove the head and there was some junk in there that wasn't in there last year when I put the head on after I rinsed block out.

If it is a bseries look about 5 inches to the right of where it says B1xxx and you will see a 19mm bolt. It is to the left of exhaust manifold.
Remove that and you can drain the block.
