Bleeding brakes
I searched, but I've tried everything that I read and nothing works, so I think I need a little more personal help. I have a 97 DC4, and after I swapped the engine I have zero brake pressure, the pedal goes right to the floor. I tried bleeding all I could in the order I read when I searched and still absolutely nothing. Please help.
did you bleed the brakes correctly? first make sure there is enough fluid. you always want to bleed the caliper that is furthest away from the master cylinder. so the back right then back left then front right then front left. make sure you vacuum hose doesnt have a hole or anything too.
Sooooo, I tried bleeding them numerous times and wasted an entire container of brake fluid, and the brakes feel decent until the car turns on and all pressure is instantly lost. I really need some suggestions, I can't afford to take this heap to a shop.
check for leakage any where and every where. did this problem show up slowly (pre and post swap) or immediatly after the swap?
if u have the car started and try to pump the pedal does it have pressure and then go to the floor? if so its leaking fluid. it kinda sounds like the master cylinder.
are you doing this by your self with nobody pumping the brakes?
