Yes, and from the intake into the combustion chambers and then KABLAMM. Water does not compress like air does so the pressure has to go somewhere. In this case through the block :\

this happened off limonite in norco..near corona. i had on an injen cai, and there was a big puddle in the road, so i drove on the left side of the road to avoid it, but there was oncoming traffic so as i was cutting back into my lane i caught the end of the puddle, and sucked up a decent amount of water. i didn't get the pleasure of hearing any noises, i was only at like 2k rpm and the motor just shut off. and yeah, theres no resleeving that block, the other end of the rod made that big hole, took a chunk out of the bottom of the sleeve, and made another hole in the back of the block which i couldn't get a picture of yet

damn, sorry to see that happen...how huge was that puddle you drove through??? I've driven in the rain and through puddles w/my AEM CAI plenty of times and i dont even have a bypass valve either...
the puddle was pretty big, but like i said i drove around it and only coasted through the end corner of it....and this is gonna be my reason for not putting the cai back on
