Another header question
Okay right now I have a jdm DC 4-1 on my b16. Im building up a gsr motor to swap in there so far I have
JDM ITR pistons and rings
skunk2 stage ones and valvetrain and cam gears
skunk2 intake mani
aem cold air
5 zigen catback 2.36 in I believe
hondata and some other little things im sure I forgot
Now my question is will I lose alot from going down to say a 2.25 in collecter I would go with a comptech out of the 2.25 collecter. My reason for wanting to get rid of the JDM DC is its just 2 low I've only scraped it a few times minor scrapes as well but I'm always being carefull for it and im tired of it, and all the 2.5 4-2-1 in collecters that dont hang low are at least 700 dollars. So do you guys think I will be dissapointed in the comptech with my setup? Otherwise I will prob just break down and buy the toda dont really wanna spend that kinda money for a header though but my options seem to be limited.

With the bump in CR and bigger bumpsticks, you should def have a 2.5" collector. A Comptech header isn't going to be bad on it, but there is alot of HP to be gained from a good quality header. I suggest an SMSP, Hytech, Toda, Header Tech, or AN-R.
How much lower does the DC JDM 4-1 hang compared to the JDM ITR 4-1? When I had my JDM ITR header installed, I measured how much lower it hung compared to the bottom of the oil pan, and it only 5/8 of an inch below it. Although its only been on my car for about 2 months now, I've never scraped it. I have a 95 GSR on Eibach Pro Kit. I ask because the JDM DC and the JDM ITR are virtually identical as far as HP gains go, check out http://www.automotiveperformanceengineering.com to see the dyno's of the two on an ITR.
