Default Bad starter?

My battery is fine, but last night after messing with my alarm and putting everything back together; the alarm was working fine. Now the car would not start; I have to push start it and once i got it started; i drove around for a bit last night. Then took it home, turned it of and it wont start. So is this a starter problem?

sounds like a wiring problem if that circuit somehow gets wired into your alarm, like the starter solenoid wire

Does it sounds like its cranking, because if it is, thats your starter.

check the wire that plugs into the starter from the wire harness. this exact same thing happened to me the other day. somehow the wire that plugs into the starter had wiggled itself loose. i plugged it back in and problem solved.

just look at the starter itself...there should be a wire that is wrapped in black that is plugged into the starter...if it's not plugged in you will see it hanging right where the starter is....trust me, you'll notice a wire that looks like it should be plugged in to something...just go out there and look real quick

the end of the starter that is the furthest from the transmission is where the wire should be plugged into...

pic of starter...

the wire that i am talking about is covered up by the grommet in that pic..the wire comes out of that grommet and plugs into the starter...

check your positive battery ground wire. follow it to the starter and mess with the connection. i just bought a new starter for my ITR and it was like $240 including the core charge. im gonna take it back, because the starter is most likely not your problem. its most likely a loose ground or something with the battery cables (either corroded or bad conncetion)

oh yeah, corrosion can be anywhere on the wires even if they look clean. replace or clean those and see what happens. much cheaper than buying a starter
