bad smell from the air vents
Hi,
It started early this summer, when ever I put the air vents on "fresh" I get this bad smell coming out of them. It smells like a mixture of sweat and urine I have noticed if I have recirculate and AC on the smell eventually goes away, but on "fresh" it is always there. Where should I clean? Thanks.

Re: bad smell from the air vents (csfalcon)
Cant really clean where the smell is coming from. What is causing that smell is when using your air conditioner, condensation builds up water in the AC system. Since this is basically a closed system, the water is not able to evaporate giving mold and bacteria a chance to stagnate the water...causing that funky smell. Same thing that happens when you leave a wet towel bundled up on the floor and it starts reeking after a day or two. The only thing you can do is run the fan until the water evaporates and that should get rid of dat' funky smell!
