b21 vtec?
have you guys ever read those ls/vtec write ups? the reason why they dont use the old b20s (from preludes and accords) is because the way its built, no vtec head will fit. its a weak motor anyways almost 13 years old by then, why not just get a b20z.

the head doesnt fit on it but im pretty sure that motor makes more torque then hp for the factory set up. So if one was to go all out and resleave and build complete it would be a ******* crayz *** motor
b21s are shitty motors. I come from the prelude forums, where u used to be a regular when i my 5th gen.
The b21 has a bad oil consumption problem. most of those guys have swapped in jdm b20s to solve their problems.
Stick with a newer b20

i used to own a b21a1 `lude SI, 1990. it was fuel injected(the others were 2.0 carbed) and it brought me much joy. that block is the bastard stepchild of the b-series engines. it comsumes oil like crazy, and the rings go out b4 150k. it responded well to bolt ons in my opinion. but I definately wouldnt consider it for a frankenstien setup. the bottom end is just weak, and would be an expensive build. i dont think they even make specific aftermarket parts for it.
edit: and for the guy who wanted the specs, someone already gave the hp/tq numbers, just to add to that, it was dohc, 16 valve, non-vtec.
