B20z swap issues
Let’s run back the whole story! 1994 integra 5 speed manual obd1 Had a b18b1 blew it up and swapped in a b20z with all of my b18 accessories to keep obd1. Swap was fairly easy but I’m having an issue not sure what it is. The car runs fine and revs fine in neutral but when in gear under load it sputters and doesn’t have the power it should up until like 4k rpms even then it’s sluggish no where near as quick as my b18.
Things swapped over from my old b18. intake manifold, dizzy, fuel rail and injectors, alternator, etc… I’m missing a few things off my mind but I have everything right.
also should mention as of right now it’s open headers with no 02 sensors on the car at all. Idk if that will affect how it drives.
new parts I’ve tried to fix the problem
Brand new dizzy
brand new ignition wires
brans new plugs
brand new fuel pump
new TPS and calibrated perfectly
new timing belt and tensioner
checked timing multiple times.
I’m no mechanic but I’ve tried a lot of different things and I’m down to injectors, a Big vac leak or something’s up in the ecu.
I had a buddy who has a tuned ecu with a b20 base map. He said the ecu is messed up on high rpms but works fine down low, we put it into my car and the low end power definitely came back like my b18! But high end has sputters and no power.
