how come this is being a popular mod? i mean if you bore out a grs motor wouldnt it give the same torque? i just dont understand pulling a low revving motor out of a crv and putting it in a teg. are they cheaper to aquire than a gsr motor?

 

I am currently building this setup and there are a few reasons why:

1 - Acquiring and then boring a GSR to 2.0 will equal the price of 2-3 complete B20 motors. What would you rather have?

2 - B20 oil pump is the same as type r. Not a BIG deal but it helps.

3 - The B20 sleeves may be weak but they're made of a special Honda developed aluminum that dissapates heat really well, making them great for street use.
