Default b18c1 and b18c2 whats the diff????

whats the diff between the two engines is it just obd1 and 2 or is it somthing else?
my 95 has a c1 and my friends 97 has a c2???

ARE YOU SURE? Never heard of a B18C2 on the domestic or japanese market and none of my Acura books say anything about a C2 engine, just C1 & C5. Id check again. Did you look on the block @ the engine code ?

New DC2 Integras sold in New Zealand and Australia had B18C2 stamped on the blocks. As far as i know they had USDM specs. ie P72 A0

Yeah im posative it was stamped right there on the block.
Sidenote: we raced and with both close to the same mods and from a rolling start he walked away like it was no contest!?!

94-99 Honda Integra VTi-R

~168hp (converted from given 125kW)
most likely rated at 170hp if converted

HKxBLUR where did you get your info? and why does that engine have the specs similiar to the B18B1 USDM engine. Does it have VTEC?

there two types in aus/new zealand...one is the gsi which is equivalent to the ls/rs adn the other is the vti-r which is equivalent to the gsr...

my car is a b18c2... integra vtir...
i always thought it was the same as your (north american) c1...

the gsi... it's the half baked model, no vtec.

Australia also get's the rare B18C7, R. spec B18 Same as the B18C5, jsut a different code for destination country clarification I guess

I knew GSi/VTi-R, thought it was some sort of optional engine, when in fact it's set up just like out here with the B1 and C1.. sorry about that

Its the ECU. I believe OBDI is 90-95 and OBDII is 96-00 if I remember correctly?. I think?

OBDI uses less sensors, particularly the O2. OBDI has one O2 sensor on the down pipe. While OBDII uses 2 sensors. One on the down pipe, and one in the converter. Thus making complications with test pipe.
