Default Engine serial number

Does the serial number on the block offer any info into the origins of the engine?

I've acquired a B18C1 drivetrain that was pulled from another person's abandoned project. I know it comes from an Integra GSR, but that's all I know.

Specifically, I'm wondering if you can tell the year from the serial number.

Since I'm new, I can't post a pic, but here's the stamping numbers on the block:

Dont know too much on block serial #'s, but assuming the head is the original p72 head you can check the year that way...
