Default b18c with ctr

who runs these pistons with the octane below. daily driven of course. tuning? any one with exprience, please contribute to clear it up for the final time with the proper compression ratio

Your motor will eventually **** up if you run anything below 93 octane. It may feel fine while you're driving it, but don't your teeth feel fine when you eat food without brushing (for a while until you get cavities).


Run 93 with a tune.

I was thinking of getting these pistons also, along with some flatfaced valves. I was wondering what you would recommend for us folks that live in california?

We have a very hard time buying anything higher than 91 octane, and thats at $2.90/gal where I live now. Would like 1/3 of a can per tank of "Octane104" or another of that sort make up for it with 91? Putting it at like maybe 94+?

i use 91 with my ctr pistons and i have been doin it for over a year with no problems

Thats a relief to hear. What compression are you running? I would like to know. Also, what kind of tuning have you done w/ that p28?
