Default B18C and B18C5 differences

I was considering doing a B18C5 drop into my Civic, however I started wondering want the differences are between the C and the C5 engines. I know the obvious differences, like different compression, intake manifold, etc. However are there other little differences between the engines that would make the C5 ultimately a better choice. The reason I ask this is because before the engine would go into my car I would be going to town on it with a stroker kit; pistons, rods, valves, cams, the whole deal. So, because I would be doing all that stuff anyways is there any real benefit with spending the extra money on getting a B18C5. Or can I just get the cheaper B18C and get the same performance with a stroker kit as I would "stroking" a B18C5.
