I am looking at getting a 1993 Integra with a totally built B18A in it. It was rebuilt from the bottom up with all aftermarket products. I was wondering if anyone has done this before and if anyone thinks it will be fast or not. I know that it isnt vtec and everything but me and my friends think that since its totally built up that it should be pretty fast. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
you could make yourself a fun car to drive dependin on what you put it in (im assuming an integra since youre in the integra forum).
my suggestion, if youre going to build a motor, is to build a low compression motor (lower compression pistons, thicker head gasket, ect) and boost it.
if you want to stay on the all-motor route, you may want to build a higher compression motor (possibly bore, mill the head, thinner headgasket, ect) and possibly run a ls/vtec setup.
hope this helps a little. its pretty vague but should help you along in your decision.

We would have to know the specifics of the rebuild to know the possible power gains from it. Is it a stock rebuild, or was the compression bumped up and cams installed etc etc.
