Default B18a

Does anybody know if i trow in a b18b into a 93 integra will it afect it during smogtest in california. i need to know cuz i got refereed i need to pull b16 out to put in a b18a or a b18b i found a b18b for a good price but not shure if it will work.

you still pass smog test with b16 just run a stock header and exhaust

You can put a B16 in your integra. Of course a B18A or B will pass, that's the stock motor of the car.

b18b1 will pass and will fit in the engine bay. its a couple whp up too

Why don't you keep the b16 and just swap out certain engine parts to USDM spec for emissions purpose, don't spend your $$ just to swap out another motor, and then swap back the b16 in after, thats $$ down the drain if that is what you decide to do. Get a USDM ecu, sensors, stock cat, stock exhaust, stock exhaust manifold, stock intake and fix the wiring connections if it looks hacked up. Many people get their cars bar'd legal with JDM motors or other motors that don't come stock in their vehicle. The money you spend on swapping out the motor then later putting it back in, could be spent on putting in USDM b16 parts, off the del sol and you don't even have to pull the motor out. Just my 2 cents.
