Icon2 B18 Headers

I was wondering if the b18a headers are interchangeable with the b18b headers. And I was also wondering what kind of headers I should get. I was thinking about the megan headers but I haven't really heard anything about them. And some people told me that those cheap ebay knockoffs were pretty good also, but i'm not so sure.

They should be interchangeable, I think that the placement of the o2 sensor is what going to be an issue.

I now know that the old H-T is gone, using the term "headers" would of gotten you flamed in under 10 minutes after posting with people saying your car has only one exhaust manifold, so that is a header. Just wanted to get that out of my system.

Now for your question:

Fitment should be the same as long as its for the proper generation of emissions, ie obd1 or obd2. As for brands, if you are looking into one of the two piece designs like the DC's or Megan's then the ebay ones would suite you just fine. I my mind I see them all as the same with respect to performance and looks, although slight differences may yield smaller differences in power in different parts of the power band. If you have some deep pockets then I's recommend a tri-y header of some sort. If you are on a budget then go with a ebay or megan, I actually have one that I had kicking in my garage that I am selling pretty cheap.

Also another big difference that you will come across on many of your "high-end" headers is the true 2.5" collector.

90-91 (OBD-0), 92-93 OBD-1, 94 - up RS LS GS ITR, 00-01 GSR. All of these are interchangeable. If your putting OBD1-2 on OBD-0 you will need to lengthen the 1 wire O2 sensor.

94-99 GSR will mate up to the other motors, but not the exhaust. You will need to modify the exhaust for it to work. Plus this header doesn't have O2 bung in the collector.

you sure about that? ^ now, are you referring to stock vs stock, or stock vs aftermarket?

I'm sure. I had a 97 ITR Comptech Header on my 94 LS. After it was totalled, I put it on my 91 LS. And on my 91 LS I had a 92 DC Sports Exhaust. The Exhaust on a 92-93 are shorter than 90-91.

All I had to do was extend the 1 wire O2 sensor so that instead of the primary it was in the collector.
