I am thinking of replacing the factory head on the B18 in my 1996 integra with a GSR 72-1.
Is it a straight head replacement?
Are there any concerns with doing this?
I was told that there might be lubrication issues to deal with.
Any info would be appreciated.

It's in the all gen FAQ sticky

In the first post scroll down to LS/VTEC and there should be some useful links

This is the best LSVTEC write up I used it on a few vtec engines I built as well.

For a visual, Honda Street Garage on YouTube has a solid video on doing the conversion. He does a B20VTEC, but applies the same to LS block too.
Tks. After reading the sticky i have decided that this is not an option that i want to persue.

IMO you should look into a JDM high compression B20 long block! its a better replacement than the LS B18. Its a 2.0L so more torque! and will be a straight forward drop in but might need some parts from the LS engine to work better but everything swaps over perfect. Not mention they are dirt cheap like $550! look at Hmotors.com for a legit swap.Originally Posted by Tousaw
