whats is the difference between the b16a and the b16b?
which car did this come out from?

 

It depends what year b16a but they came in civic si/sir's mostly. B16B came in the civic type-r and is more of a performance driven motor. Bigger cams, higher compression, better fuel maps, port/polish head etc etc. Not alot of people have b16b's mainly because they aren't worth it unless you just want the "bling" status.

 

hahhah yea its not worth getting a b16B for only 10 more HP the b16a pumps out 160hp and the b16B pumps out 170hp

You almost got it right. Older b16's have 160 and newer b16's have 170. b16b's have 180-185

 

sorry 4 mis info, i guess i was just looking at the early eyars engines...hahha

b16b are rated at 185 HP, come with LSD tranny, bigger cams, higher compression , ETC...
