B16B came in the CTR in Japan. It's a 180 (or 185) HP motor, nearly the same as a B16A (160 HP USDM), but with higher compression, and slightly different valvetrain (lighter components). Other than that, I'm not sure

hmm.. if you're going to spend money to swap the b16b.. might as well get the b18c type r motor... you're not paying THAT much difference between the two.. where you get more torque with the b18 because of the increased displacement.....

Come on I sure hope that you arn't doing the swap. A b16b is a ctr and it is totally different from a B16a the cams, valve springs, retainers, crank its all different even the vtec soliniods are different and an ITR uses a CTR head to get rid of the secondairy butterflys dued dont waste ur money on a CTR or A ITR just buy an OBD 1 gsr and take the thousand dollars u save and buy yourself skunk 2 cams and a zex programble nitrous kit you will eat up any ITR or CTR out there

It is rated at 183hp (185ps), but the B16B actually makes more power than that. Honda underrated it.
The B16B doesnt stop making power until after its 8400 RPM redline. Rev it up near its 9000 RPM fuel cut and it will be cranking out close to 200hp.
