92 Integra....Vehicle had been driving great until monday...Riding down the road and it seems that the Driverside front brake caliper locked up....Get it home and take the brakes apart and clean, lube all the brake parts....Seem to fix that issue..but took the vehicle out for a drive and I hear a grinding clunking sound coming from that same side...Pull everything apart again..and Look at the axle ..and looks as if there is a inch worth of space between the spindle and where the axle meets the spindle...The Axle nut is tight..but you can move around the axle and rotor in and out..which inturn is making this noise when driving...Any one ever have this happen....Any suggestions...

 

Buy a New axel. Than see what happens. Did u change anything recentally?

i would buy an axle.But if your axle can move back and forth like that are you sure your halfshft is even bolted.This 3 bolts.Im jus sayin maybe im wrong but you shouldnt be able to do that.

 

fixed the issue...Come to find out when the caliper locked up...the heat from that basically killed the wheel bearing...So replaced the wheel bearing and lower ball joint...now vehicle rides like normal....Thanks for yalls help..
