Default axle

when puttting the axles back on, do i need to tap it in lightly or should i just slide in? It seem the snap on ring in stopping it from going in and i wanted to make sure it fine hitting it with a rubber mallet to help it slide in.

Default Re: axle (StolenTeg)

I was having the same problem last week. I did some research and everyone said that is should slide right in. The intermediate shaft was pretty straight forward after a few tries it went it all the way. But the passanger side was a completly different story. No matter how many times i tried it wouldn't budge after going in a little bit. I ended saying screw it and took a rubber mallet and gave it a few slight nudges and i mean i was real careful about not missing and not hitting to hard and it kind went in a bit more and i was able to slide it in the rest of the way.

Edit - its been about 200 miles and everything seems ok still.

You have to tap lightly at the other end of the axle for the snap ring to seat correctly.
