Automatic Transmission Slipping?
Guys,
I've tested the TPS, and it's fine. I'm gonna flush the tranny. My question, is there a filter that I should change in the automatic tranny as well? I bought some Honda ATF...
Thanks,
Brian

There is no filter to change. You can't drop the pan on the AT, so there's no way to access the filter.
Also, don't use on of those Jiffy Lube type flushes on the tranny. The safest way to flush the tranny is to drain and refill 3 times, driving a mile or two between each change.

Thanks.... yeah, I'm gonna drain the tranny and do everything myself... probably do it a couple of times... hopefully, the first time I'll be able to notice a difference.... trying to pinpoint the problem...... If fresh fluid don't fix it, guess the next thing is to test the shift solenoids.......... after that.... I'm gonna give up
how much mileage is on your tranny? On my old mazda, my tranny blew at about 103k (then again those cars had horrible a/t). It needed a rebuild. It could be something small like the fluid and what not, but usually if it has high mileage and the tranny is slipping it means you will probably have to replace it soon. It could take a a week or a year, depends on if it was abused.
We can't get Seafoams Trans Tune in Canada.......
As for the tranny, it only has 60,000 kms on it and the previous owner was a middle-aged woman. I doubt that the car has been abused in any way. The car is absolutely mint..... cross my fingers that it's just the fluid..... or a solenoid or something....

You should goto a pro to get the tranny flush the right way. When you drain the oil, you only drain some of it. The rest of it's in the torque converter. Pros have machines called fluid exchangers that clean out the whole system. They can even do an analysis of your old oil too.

This is the recommended method of changing out the fluid from Acura.

So, you guys would recommend changing the fluid several times youself instead of bringing it somewhere to get flushed? I also just found how to test the shift solenoids too so I'll do that as well.......
