Automatic trans.
My D4 light is on, and it's not supposed to be, it just came on and stays on, it doesn't flash, in the manual it says if the d4 light flashes while driving in any gear then you need to take it to a dealer, but as soon as I shift out of d4 the light goes out, any ideas before I call the dealer? It runs and drives and shifts fine.
It sounds like your D4 light is comming on while you are in D4 if i'm understanding you right. Thats how it should be, its indicating what gear you are in.

No... It's not supposed to come on, unless it hasn't been coming on for the 3 years I've owned the car and then I hit a pothole and the wiring became fixed. I don't know, because it had never come on before when I was in d4. Can anyone with an auto verify this?

Thats probably what happend. Alot of times when lights on the dash/insturment cluster go out you can just hit them and they will turn back on, maybe it just took a pothole for your car to do that.
All automatic integras should have a indicator that lights up letting you know what gear the car is in. It should have a light for d3, 2, 1, R, and N also
