Worth.... depends on the driver and their particular needs.

If you want more control, get a manual... but for daily commuters who dont care beyond getting from point a to b, the auto suits them fine.

Again, its up to the person and their application.

If you live in a city with a lot of streets with steep *** hills (like SF) then get an auto. When I bought my WRX, I was seriously considering the auto because driving in bumper to bumper L.A traffic in a car equipped with a Clutchmasters Stg.II sucks.

Some automatics are just as fast as their manual conunterparts (Supra TT, LS1's, etc). Just get what you want.

I also have had manual tranmisions in every car I have owned. Im thinking next ride will have some kind auto/ stick "tip tronic". It will give me the option of just chilen in auto or If I want control use the the tip action. THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS!!! Either way its your decision.

4 cylinders plus auto transmission do not equal out to a good combination no matter how you do the math you what you put into those 4 cylinders.

then why did the manufacturer and engineers even bother making 4 cylinder automatics if it's not a good combination ... cause if you can prove that wrong then i might as well sue them for buying a car that does not equal to the performance that i payed for ... i mean i guess it depends on what you like, but on the auto teg u can actually down shift to third or to second while still moving, i've done it since i got my teg, and it has 192K miles on it ...

If you want an Auto car that you can enjoy. Buy an Auto TL 2001 model. It has good power and it's fun to drive.

autos are not worthless, but if you want a racer don't get it. auto is great for a daily driver, and even IF you want to race your automatic car... you can always go to levelten and make your auto faster than its maual counterpart. if you're gonna be stuck in traffic, manual won't cut it. imagine engaging and disengaging the clutch all the time.

i have a level10 torque convertor on mine.. along with I/H/E it runs a 15.8... it used to be a 16.5-16.7 car. Right now it does me justice..but eventually after the motor hits 100k im getting a jdm b18c , i was going to turbo it.. but then i would have to swap out the tranny..so im stuck with what i wanna do.
