Default Automatic to manual swap, Need different front springs?

I recently bought a 98 integra which was originally a automatic. The previous owner swapped in a manual transmission and changed it to obd1. Everything works great but last night I pulled up nose to nose with my friends 97 integra and mine sat a good 2-2 1/2 in higher in front. Both our tegs are ls model with stock suspension. The only difference is my teg has the ac and ps stripped out.

Im wondering if the automatic is heavyer than the manual trans and so honda gave the auto's a heavyer front suspension? Thanks for any help..

Do you have larger rims? The springs are the same between auto and manual.

I came across the same thing. Everyone says, including honda, that the springs for manual and auto are the same, but when I did my auto-manual swap, my car now sites ~1 inch higher in the front. I'm 100% sure b/c I measured it in the same spot before and after.

I guess its b/c the auto tranny is alot heavier.. debatable that it would cause a 1" diff tho - But my car is proof... i was surprised.

(NO change in rims/ a/c / power stering, etc. either..)
