Thinking bout picking up some arp rod bolts for 40 bnib for b18 locally... seems hella cheap. is there anything i should look out for or ask before i go through with transaction? how much do they usually go for? i saw some for like 200?

40 is real cheap. I picked up a set for around $150.

If they are not from an authorized dealer, you can't be sure they are real, and you definatly do not have warranty even if they are real, most of the time you do get what you pay for. 94

also the guy said that b18b and b18c are same... i think otherwise. Are they or are they not?

someone on here told me that b18b and b18c are different. b18c are longer. not sure on how to verify authentication.

LS engines will use the 8mm rod bolts. you can get those for $40 anywhere.

b18c will be the 9mm bolts, which are about $80.

I would just order some new ones. The last thing you wanna do is find out that they arent real and snap when your torquing them down. Thats alot of trouble just to save a little money. Not worth the hours it would take to replace them

They're usually in the 40-50 range for ROD bolts, not head studs or main bolts.

So no one paid 100+ for them, and they're most likely not fake or they'd be alot cheaper.
