apexi vafc question for a 97 gsr
just got one, mildly upped the fuel and it pulls alot harder know and is a bit more torquier. I'd like to go ahead and set everything but in all honesty, i'm not messing w/ something i don't really know about. Is there a website or info somewhere that can ell me what to set everything to and be on my way rather then having to dyno it? The car is street and auto-x and all i want is just a little bit more power w/out killing the fuel supply. any help, suggestions etc...?
i would expect this question from a guy who has 3 posts and jsut got on H-T, but you should know better. you cant just throw some settings on it. oyu need to dynotune the goddamn thing. no way to go around it. dont try to use someone elses tunning either cause all teg motors are different

He's actually giving you good, helpful advice. Dyno-tuning isn't as expensive as you might think, and one shouldn't spend the money on a V-AFC if they don't foresee being able to pay for proper tuning.

Ahhh, the wonders of the butt-dyno. Remember, the important "Just spent a lot of money on this modification" correction factor was probably quite high too.

hey highrolla whos the chick on your avatar? hot body! but anyway, dude i wasnt being a dick, if you have the $ to pick up the damn thing set it right or your goin to buy a new motor(more expensive than paying for 3 dyno pulls)
i paid 50 bucks for it. not alot of money, 2nd of all, they run for 130-150 per hour for a dyno. 3rd, i understand what you were saying about dyno, i agree that it's the best way to go but i'm not stupid, and i know how to work the f'ing thing just don't know the EXACT settings as to which i wil lget max performance out of it. All i did was increse the fuel settings a lil bit and after i did that i was finally able to beat a friend of mine w/ a stock gsr that we were normally door to door, i had him by 1/2 car this time, so i assumed it was because of the vafc. Anyways. f**k it,

you're not going to get a single setting correct off someone else's car. every motor is different, stock included. nothing will be fully beneficiary.
