Default Another TPS problem thread

so i just replaced my tps with another tps. Problem now is for some reason there is no readings coming from wires 1 and 3. Ign is on, the Throttle body is off the car though. I am not getting any readings on my voltmeter, what am i supposed to be reading. Volts correct? on my voltmeter i have a "Battery option and 1.5volts and 9volt readings" im using i forgot which one but its one of the two so there are 2 spaces after the dot LIKE x.xx instead of the .xxx or xxx. but could my wiring be bad and i need to replace the whole thing or is the voltimeter im using not the right one??

also the settings i want are .5 volts CLOSED and 4.5v open?

This is on a 95 integra gsr sedan

check to see if you have the MAP sensor clip on the TPS. theyre the same color wires and its easy to have the two in the oposite spots they belong at. just a thought

yes, you want roughly between .45 closed and 5 v open. make sure your voltmeter is working properly. it shouldnt matter if it the throttle body is off the manifold.
