Am I crazy for paying this for a DA Integra?

Re: Am I crazy for paying this for a DA Integra?
i understand where you are coming from but that is still too much money maybe if it was a 93 gsr then i could see 5 grand due to the rarity of them. even when i got the DA that i sold i to bought it from the original owner and the condition of it was about the same as the one listed by the OP beside it had 87,000 mile on it and the rear emblem was missing and i only paid 1000 bucks for it.
To the op i would offer $4000 not a penny more and that is if you really want it but if i was in your position with 5 grand laying around i would for sure get a dc2 instead of a DA. Thats why i got rid of my da because i thought i would like it as much as my dc2 but it just didnt happen.

I feel you bro, but what I meant, mine was reliable and fresh, I still wouldnt pay that much for a honda, unless its a collectors like a NSX now it really matters if it was untouched with that many original miles. Or an original TYPE R.
Just saying

Re: Am I crazy for paying this for a DA Integra?
Your not saying that you would not pay $5000 unless it was a original, garage kept, 30,000 mile NSX or a Type R are you?
That's not going to happen, just saying.
The car is worth whatever the market will bare, a lot of people would not pay $5000 for that G2, I would if I had to, that's not saying I would not offer less, and a list of things needed from a mechanic, [bushings, shocks, tires and so on] would make offering less and getting the car a lot more likely.
Still need to know what the asking price is. 94

Re: Am I crazy for paying this for a DA Integra?
Most people on HT only buy beat down, half *** projects for $500-2000. Anything more than that is out of budget. Or they want a mint clean car for the same price becuase they say age is an issue. Then they clean it up, put some bolt on's or a $1k turbo and try to sell it in the market place for $8k and say they know what it's worth. LMFAO...
This is a great example of a rare G2 teg that was well taken care of in OEM condition. I think $5k is a good price. Of course you can try to negotiate $4k. Either way it's a beautiful car that is nicer than 90% of the cars on this site.

I understand that it was garage kept and all but really that doesn't increase the value, I wouldn't have paid over 3500. You gotta think all those parts on the car are 20 years old, making them more prone to problems sitting or not. I might pay that on a GSR just because they're so rare.
Still an amazing find.

90s hondas attract broke people. makes selling low mile oe cars somewhat difficult. the only issue with the OP's car is the restoration work it will need due to age. that factors into the price
still, these cars sell for 3k with 100k miles if they are clean. asking 5k for 30k miles doesn't seem like much of a stretch. perfect car for someone who loves DA's

+1 for a good buy. You save so much headache by buying a nice car to begin with instead of starting with someone's "project" and trying to make it nice again. If you want a DA Integra, this one is a no-brainer.

i probably would have payed 4500, you will find people are willing to pay more for one that doesnt have a bunch of stupid **** done to it.

Re: Am I crazy for paying this for a DA Integra?
this car is really hard to value because it's
1. worth more than part value
2. so low of mileage there is nothing to really compare it to

If I really wanted something then it would be up to me to say whether its worth the money asked or not.
I personally would not pay 5 grand for it but then again its not the car of my dreams.

Re: Am I crazy for paying this for a DA Integra?
Damn, this thread makes me feel like I've destroyed my DA with my "mods" after seeing one that funky fresh. I'd shell out 5 for that in a heartbeat, but then again I'm a broke ***, which is why I drive a 90's Honda, lolz. It's worth it to the right person no doubt.

Re: Am I crazy for paying this for a DA Integra?
I'd say that the car is worth whatever a new buyer is willing to pay for it. I picked up a DB8 last year for more than I should have, but it is pristine and I was able to justify it to myself. Hope it works out for you.

Re: Am I crazy for paying this for a DA Integra?
IMO $5000 for a super clean DA with 31K on it is a fair price. How many will you find with only 31K on and that clean?? Most have over 130K and are beat up.
On the timing belt done at only 31K it more the age of the belt then the miles on it. The hoses and other belts should have been replaced as well.

Re: Am I crazy for paying this for a DA Integra?
I'd say that it is worth about 1.5 times as much as a similar example with 100k miles or 2 times as much as a similar example with 200k miles. Now go and do some research.
Ultimately, what is it worth to you? Are the low miles important? Is this just another DD?
