Default Aluminum Rust?

I have some rust on my skunk2 pro series shocks on the aluminum sleeves and it won't adjust. The shocks and the aluminum sleeve are one piece so I cant just purchase another sleeve set. How do I remove rust from aluminum?
I have tried wd 40 and pb blaster and no luck. btw its the rear suspension. Any help will be very appreciated thanks

try a scotch pad with some pb blaster. if it still doesnt budge id try lightly tapping the adjustment wrench with a hammer while trying to adjust.

Gotta love Junk2 products. I'd go at it with pb blaster and a wire brush for a while to get into the threads.
