Default Alternator problem

Does anyone know if the only spot to tension the alternator is the bolt on the top, I just replaced my belt, and it is the exact same size as the last one, but i cant get it tight, i adjust the bolt on the top all the way out but it still doesnt tighten the belt enough

Are you prying out on the alternator itself to tension the belt? You have to put something between the alternator and the bracket like a prybar and push out on the actual alternator itself to get it tight.
