Default Aftermarket suspension questions. My 94 ls

Ok well my tax return and rebate will be coming soon so I'll have some money to put down for my ride. I was once a while back looking at full coilover kits but decided not to spend nearly $1000. I believe I decided on Tein Stech springs and some tokico hp shocks, the blue ones. So Im looking to spend roughly $400 bucks. Will this combination work and am I missing anything for the job? The Tokico kit is only like 300 but it only give you an inch drop. Im looking to get 2.5 out of the tein springs as their site suggests. My friend is going to teach my to install it, so he's the brains behind the mess. He's not sitting next to me as I look on-line so Im wondering if I have everything.

And if anyone knows a nice site for front lips give me a link please. Ive already checked out the sponsor, password, jdm ****, and a few random others.

Woooooooo, and it ends up $600 rebate is for people who made over $3000 this year, I made well over so looks like I can get my lip and rims round the same time, perfect cause i need to get ride of these ugly 17s.

Anyone know someone who wants to buy these rims?

I guess the previous owner paid $700 from them. They arent too beat up, I believe one has a couple good dings, but nothing you can see from 3 feet away. With rubber I could see them go for $500. But I need to get my stocks back or buy new rims first.

since you have the money to buy the suspension might as well do it right, from what i read you want to have a good descent drop. tokico blue's is just a replacement for stock suspension so if you really want to upgrade you might as well buy the koni yellow or the tokico illuminas (white) and get the ground control coil overs. this is a good set up and have not heard no complaint about it.

coilovers and struts, not good, youll blow them up eventually, dont listen to yarara0825, and if your trying to go lower, get a full coilover sleeve...by the way, i have stock dummies for sale or secong gen teggy gs-r rims to...both are 14'' and have tires good enough for about 10-15k miles...

im not looking much for handling because this ls is an auto so Im not doing any work to the engine period. I just want a more aggressive look but dont want to spend a huge amount, its just a daily driver. But I want to go 15" rims and drop it as low as I can.

Cut 3 coils off the springs with a battery operated sawz-all, slap some 15's on that slushbox havin' teg and call it a day. If you are just gonna daily it then don't waste your time spending the money that the govt. is giving back to you after they already took it all year long. Use it to put yourself in a better place economically.

Skunk2 sleeved coilovers and Tokico Illuminas only drawback is that there is no 'pre-load' on the rears so the ride gets bumpy on shitty road sometimes I think they are around your price range. And yeah please get rid of those rims

Are you asking how can i buy my set up with 400 or his? The set up of tokico blues and tein s tech run a lil UNDER 400.

My thought exactly, my rims NEED TO GO. Ive been asking random teg owners when I see them if I can trade for their 16 blades. They always think something is [freak]ed up with my rims. I drive on them just fine, you see me driving away right?

It is extra money i could use to pull myself out of debt. But I have no debt. My money goes to pot and frankly cars are how Im getting out of that so I need **** to spend money on, but at the same time Im careful how i spend it so I dont want to buy crazy street preformance parts on an automatic.

If you do the Tokico blues just buy the entire package on ebay with shocks and springs for $350 shipped. It costs less and the stockish replacement springs are all fairly similar. some are slightly stiffer, some aren't. i remember reading that the tokico springs were up a bit in the front, that could be part of the reason that $350 kit works so well with a rear sway bar upgrade. I have a GSR with a few bolt ons running the tokico blue shocks and the matching springs mated with ST 19mm rear bar and it's perfect for the street. if i was making more HP, like above 180whp i would go stiffer in a minute and probably buy the koni/gc combo.

Im not touching the engine, its an auto, so the suspensions all im worried about. How low can I get the tokico package? I like the teains cuz I can get roughly 2.5 in drop. I read the tokico springs only drop like an inch most.

And I don't know what the dummies are. Sorry, im new to this world, whats the name of the rims they replicate or could you send me a pic or link. Im looking to spend between 400-600 on rims. Thats around what Im trying to sell my rims for. I want to find something with rubber, so it all depends on how close to the look the rims are, like I said its an auto, so im not too worried about weight or function yet, oem size is all im mainly worried about, or smaller in your 14" situation.
