Default after upgrades my track time decrease!!

before i had a stock gsr motor with IHE and i hit a 9.9 at a 1/8 track with just bolt ons and burnt clutch. now with my new set up i added ctr cams and manifold and a 6 PUCK ACT clutch. my new time is now 10.5 WTF!! i cannot launch with this 6 puck and when i shift to 2nd i spin out alot.. not catching traction.. thinking about getting rid of this 6 puck and use a street disk. any thoughts? suggestions?

I think that 6 puck is too much for what you are running...just an idea....my bottom of the line ACT holds 243 ft/lbs.....

you need to get your motor tuned with the new cams and learn to drive your new clutch...

your times will decrease as soon as you learn to drive

Is your VTEC crossover still set at 4400 RPM using the CTR cams? If so, you should feel a considerble torque loss from 4400 RPM until about 5200 RPM.

As mentioned bt IHTFP, you need to tune your motor for the changes. The VTEC crossover is the most critical at this point.

better tires, this was my problem i was pulling 9.9 with busted mounts and a 14 year old slipping clutch...and i had old all-season tires. when i installed the new clutch and mounts i was only able to get a 10.1 because i was launching pretty good...(as well as could be expected on old tires), but i was spinning all of second and some of third.

i had old tires and new mounts and a clutch, when my clutch was slipping it would break my tires loose so i would still accelerate strong, but with the new clutch on the old tire i had problems through all gears with traction
