Default 4th ECU reset?

Which fuse do I pull to reset? or do I need to disconnect the battery? Thanks.

Disconnect battery for a few minutes. Reconnect. Start engine WITHOUT touching the throttle allow to idle for a few minutes. Switch off then restart,
go for a drive and try to use the full rev range.
Alternatively, remove the BACKUP fuse from under the bonnet for a couple of minutes, replace and go for a drive etc.

The clock/radio fuse under the hood resets the ECU. Much easier than disconnecting the battery especially if you have an alarm.

I don't understand why people say you must let the car idle for a minute then shut it off??

I do understand that the ECU stores fuel maps in its memory so letting the VTEC kick in after a reset is a good idea for peak performance but probably bad for fuel milage.

disconnecting the battery will do the job.

there is no need to let the car idle and then switch it off. there will only be a slight change with minor bolt-ons for the ecu to read. not major.

disconnect for a few minutes and you're good to go.
