Default Advice on headers

Need to get some advice on headers. They will be going on a GSR motor. I have heard different opinions on 4-1, or 4-2-1 headers. Can someone give me sound advice? Dont wanna spend more that 400 on a setup here. Throw some brands and setups out there. Thanks in advance

I assume you already have an intake or an exhaust?...

I've heard 4-1 headers work well on a GSR

4-1 have more high-end power while 4-2-1 have more mid-range power depending on your setup...

DC Sports for me

in a previous honda tuning or turbo magazine.. well one of them, anyways..

they dyno'd 4 DC headers. 4-2-1 1 piece 2 inch collector, 4-1 2 inch collector, JDM 4-1 2.5 inch collector, and 4-2-1 2 piece header 2 inch collector all on a stock GSR motor.

The 4-2-1 1 piece was the best performer with i think was 7-8 whp.

The rest were all around 4-5 whp.

The reason, that the JDM ITR's high C/R needs the bigger collector and piping because its pumping more air out. They were saying anything under 10.9 C/R should stick to the 2 inch collector.

But you're gonna hear a lot of different answers.. so go with what you want.

i have greddy headers on my 98 gsr and they're awesome... but they turn bronze instead of blue cause the piping is kinda thick....i might change to jdm itr though for the bigger collector cause im gonna have higher compression after i finish my rebuild....
