Hi HT. These past few weeks Ive been running into this problem with my GSR motor. It's a gsr motor in my eg, so i wasn't too sure on whether to post onto Integra forums or Civic.

Anyways, basically when taking off from a complete stop, SOMETIMES, the car would seem to get stuck at 2k rpms, and it would seem like pressing on the accelerator wasn't doing anything. The car would suddenly jerk like i slammed on the gas pedal and it would drive fine.

Atfirst, because i didn't like that major jerking "kick", i would shift straight to second when it would happen, and everything seems to run fine. It only seems to occur in 1st gear and at low rpms. Also, whenever it does occur, the idle sometimes drops and rises.

If anyone has any suggestions, please help me out, thanks.
Maybe a fuel injector cleaning?

Motor was completely rebuilt, but its been roughly about 25-30k miles.

have you checked that the TPS is to spec ? would suggest compression test just for the hell of it along with ignition timing.

 

Check fuel injectors, measure the resistance.
