ok i found this high mileage 94 teg for pretty cheap. im gonna drive it for college cuz my truck is too crappy on gas. anyways the guy that sold me the car said i didnt have to swap the whole compressor, but only the pulley that connects to the compressor. i havent ever seen a car like this and i would think when a bearing goes out in an ac pulley it would overheat and fry the internals of the compressor. also he took the belt off the ac.... what does the other pulley go to that this belt runs on? im new to imports so sorry if these questions are lame.

 

if you hear some squealing coming from around that area, could be the bearings inside. changing the pulley isnt going to do anything but give you a new pulley. more than likely, its inside and you would need new compressor. its the a/c right? if its the power steering, ive got a p/s pump for cheap id sell.....
